Catching up!

Hi! Sorry its been so long. The final weeks of tax season overcame me, and I was unable to take photographs for that period. I have not given up though! I will continue in Project 365, it will just have the 2 week hiatus in the beginning. I will obviously make up for the missing weeks, and therefore continue the project the requisite amount of time after I started. Anyhow! Here is the last of the pictures from week 3, which was architecture:

The Discovery Channel building wreathed in the pervasive fog that clung to the DC area during the early weeks of April.

And now for the beginning of (delayed) Week 4, which are all pictures of me!

Here's me, with my kickass blue earrings. Clearly I suck at taking self portraits, forgive the deer in the headlights look I seem to have adopted.

Have some feet! My feet, with my awesome fish tattoo and kickass black nail polish.

This is a photo of my newest scars and stitches. The pink square was the first mole my doc removed, the stitches on my left shoulder blade are from the second, and the stitches on my right shoulder blade are the third.

More of week 3

An art gallery that I like in Bethesda. Its where I buy my awesome purses. Its quite addictive, and rather a problem. Oh well.

A shot of Bethesda Row, the shopping/restaurant area down Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda.

Giffords, which was my favorite ice cream parlor growing up. Its location is new, but the ice cream is still as good as when I was 5. Plus, random Bethesda woman who wandered into the shot at the last moment.

Week 3! Architecture edition

This week will be pictures of some of my favorite buildings around Bethesda.

This is an apartment building down the street from my work, I just really like the roof.

A very random building on a side street in Bethesda. It causes both admiration and intense confusion- I have no idea what they're planning for it.

I just like how the sky reflects off the glass.

Massive Mega Update

Sorry, between being sick as hell and tax season I haven't been able to post in a bit. So uh, here are all the ones I missed last week! This week's posts will start tomorrow.

My oh so gorgeous desk, record player, and television. Sorry for the dimness, I had to turn off the flash to avoid glare off the picture frame.

My bed with my awesome Tree of Life tapestry behind it.

My ridiculously cluttered dresser and the door out to the living room. Appreciate the pirate banner. Thanks.

My tiny bathroom. Oh well, at least I have a keen decorating eye. I love that shower curtain.

The million and a half locks on my apartment door. Not to mention the one on the door to my building. 5 locks ought to do the trick, yes?

Days 8 and 9

The view from the door as you walk into my apartment. Project Massive Clean is slowly but surely making my place less of a sty. Awesome, right?

Standing in my kitchen looking at the living room. That is the tapestry I had mentioned, and next to the couch you can see the Checkers Shots game I was given for Christmas. Good times!

Days 5, 6, and 7

Sorry for the delay, got really sick on Saturday and couldn't post. But to make up for that have Friday, Saturday and Sunday's pictures!

I have no idea what these are called, but they're my favorite wildflowers.

Periwinkle growing on the bank outside my parents' house, fighting with ivy for dominance.

Me and my oldest sister, tonight at Easter dinner. This totally counts, my skirt is flowered.

Day 4

It was a little windy outside today.

Day 3

Flowers for sale at the Metro stop in Bethesda.

Day 2

I said the first week would be flowers, I didn't necessarily say what type. Anyhow, this is part of a tapestry that is hanging in my living room. The main image is a geisha sitting in a temple. I quite like it.

Day 1

Project 365 has now begun. I think I may do each week themed, at least at first. To get myself in the hang of it, as it were. So. Here is the picture for the first day of the first week of this year long project.

Its a blown tulip from a bouquet I bought a few days ago. I just liked the way the leaves were the focus while the bloom itself was just a blur of color.
